Dear Friend of Slow Europe,

Thank you for subscribing to the Slow Europe newsletter. We send newsletters four times a year with news about vacation rentals and travel in Europe.
Slow Europe First Look
I am very pleased to announce that we have launched the Slow Europe website at www.sloweurope.com! We are still working on a few things but wanted you to have a first look so you can start using the site and we can get some feedback.
What is Slow Europe?
Slow Europe is a website with recommended vacation rental agencies and other resources, organized by country and region (Italy, France, Spain, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland - Germany and Switzerland are next).

For example, if you are looking for a vacation rental in England, go to our section for England and pick the area where you want to stay. Review our lists of recommended vacation rental agencies, farms, rent-by-owner sites and you are on your way to booking a great vacation. We link you directly to their websites.

* We are not a vacation rental agency.
* We are not a directory site where companies pay to be listed.
* We are not a travel agent.

We are a resource for travelers looking for vacation rentals in Europe.

If you are new to vacation rentals in Europe, read our introduction to vacation rentals.

Share Your Reviews!
We would love to get some vacation rental reviews in the next few weeks (other than mine which I am still adding), before the official announcement of the site. Review any agency, farm or resource that we have listed on the site.

Read more about how to submit reviews.

If you have a favorite vacation rental agency or resource not listed on the site, please contact us.

Affordable England
We are heading to England this summer to spend June in the Cotswolds. England is very affordable now with the drop in the pound; £1.00 is $1.41, down from the high of over $2.00 when we were there a year ago.

Vacation rentals in England have always been well priced and good quality, but this drop in the pound makes England a great vacation choice this year. Many airlines are having sales now too.

Staying in vacation rentals vs. hotels makes a trip more affordable (vacation rentals are less per night than a comparable hotel and you can cook some of your own meals) and lets you "live like a local" for a week at a time.
