Vacation Rental Name: Casa Nella Vigna
My sister and I are returning in September 2010 for our 3rd month-long stay at Casa Nella Vigna. The house has everything one needs to cook and kick back. It has a warmth that reflect the owners' real interest that you have a most enjoyable stay. Toni and Roberto are wonderful hosts and are available by phone if you need something. Another great thing is the casa's massive outdoor space that fills lots of levels and has many places where visitors can eat, read, rest, hang out on the hammocks and enjoy the view. There's also an excellent library at the house.
We love everything about San Martino Alfieri. It's a very small village with just the right amount of services to get by - a grocery store, butcher, cafe, restaurant and excellent pizzeria plus the Marchesi Alfieri winery where one can buy their very tasty La Tota and, if lucky, get invited to view the castle grounds.
