We stayed at La Glycine from 27th of may until 6th of june 2009. We had a most enjoyable stay - beautiful well organised gite with excellent showers. The owners Teresa and Ian made us very welcome and were always there to advise on this beautiful area.

If you want some place to unwind this is it with its beautiful well cared gardens. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling with its quiet roads and small quaint towns and villages where you can take a break and have a coffee. We are already planning to return there again.

We were the second guests to stay in this particular gite and although it was a relatively short visit it made a great impression on us. Not only the wonderful accomodation, but the garden and the the surrounding area. Our gite which had recently been refurbished was bright and clean and had a lovely homey feel. Perfect for a small family with two bathrooms and a relatively large dining/sitting area. Wonderfully presented - we could not have wished for more. Friendly and helpful hosts this is the perfect place to unwind. We will be back!

Had a fabulous last week in May @ Le chevrefeuille - great location, accomodation, garden, hospitality and weather! The setting is very tranquil so perfect for getting away from it all. The local area is great for walks and bike rides (stick to the small country lanes and you will barely come across any motor traffic). The gite was superb and fitted out beautifully - also larger than the photos suggest. Teresa & Ian were wonderfully accomodating and always more than helpful. Would definitely recommend to others as a great place to stay.

our vacation 20th - 27th June

Well, what can we say !! When we booked the gite online, we thought the gite was pretty then: but to see it in the flesh so to speak, we were gobsmacked. The gite was much much more prettier than on the website.

There are 3 gites to choose from so we chose La Glycine. From the exposed beams to the gorgeous mezzanine area and the beautifully tended gardens, the gite was a definite labour of love !! We found the gite to very clean and comfortable, we slept like logs!!! Also, trellis had been erected to provide privacy between the gites which were decorated with hanging baskets and climbers. We also loved the patio areas, lovely for relaxing with a glass of wine!!

The owners Teresa and Ian have thought of everything, not many owners would think of providing mozzy machines and universal plugs too. They definitely went the extra mile!!

From booking the gite online up to the evening before we were due to go home, we found Teresa and Ian very friendly and helpful, not in our way but there just in case we needed them.

The surrounding area was magical too, a walkers paradise, and the village was very pretty as was the river Don and the Don valley itself. The nearby village of Plesse is also pretty with a lovely lake area. Worth visiting.

We're definitely going back and would recommend the gite to anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful area in a beautiful gite-we couldn't have asked for more.
