Our 2nd visit to Spain, we decided to concentrate on the region of Alpujarra . We found the lovely little town of Bubion & wonderful accomodation at Casa de la Luz. The owners Janny and Manuel , speak Dutch, English, French, German & of course Spanish so able to provide all the information necessary for a fabulous visit to the region. Enjoyed leisurely exploring the hiking paths and walking the short distances to Capiliera and Pampaneira - 1 & 2 km. away . Both Janny & Manuel came to visit with us to ensure our holiday was everything we had hoped for. Thanks again! Eleanor

Revisiting this town where I first fell in love with Spain was even better the second time around, thanks to owners Janny (Dutch) and Manuel (Spanish). They were full of useful information and down-to-earth enthusiasm for this wonderful area.

We enjoyed hiking and meandered from village to village on foot or by car. Spent hours on the patio overlooking the mountain valley or relaxing in front of the fireplace. We prepared meals in the small kitchen with ingredients bought at the local grocery and morning produce truck, or joined a mix of locals and tourists for meals in a nearby restaurant or bar. The house is charming and was just the right size for the four of us.

When it was time to leave, we adjusted our route to include a visit to Villaluenga del Rosario (Casa del Municipal is in this village) where we had a wonderful meal (and really good wine) at Meson la Cancela, a restaurant owned by friends of Janny and Manuel. Making connections in this way, with local people who know the area, was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Janny and Manolo!
