The Cotswolds is one of my favorite areas in England. Two hours west of London, between Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon, the Cotswolds are full of beautiful stone villages with a variety of well-priced vacation rentals. The Cotswolds is not an official county of England, but spreads over several counties. Most is in Gloucestershire and the western part of Oxfordshire. Owlpen Manor

Nine cottages on Owlpen Manor estate in the southern Cotswolds near Uley. Cottages are not grouped together, but are spread out on the 215 acre estate. Owlpen Manor is open to the public a few days a week (and is well worth a visit). There have been some negative reviews in the past.
