Agriturismo recommendations for Bergamo and Moden.

Planning a spring trip starting in Northern Italy. Wondering if anyone has recommendations for Agriturismos or small country hotels in the Modena and the Bergamo area. Thanks in advance.

Hi PaulC. We've stayed several times about a half hour south of Modena at an agriturismo Podere Prasiano. It's been a few years, but we are still in contact with Emanuela and Massimo Cavani, lovely people. They do a wonderful job and run an amazingly beautiful organic farm and vineyard. The views are stunning and it is an easy half hour to Modena or Bologna. You do need a car. Beautiful scenery.

Although a 1.5 hour drive from Modena, we stayed in an excellent agritourismo just south of Piacenza, Corte La Volta. The area was suitably remote, the accommodation standards high, and the breakfast consisted of delicious home-made thing. It was really good value too; there were a few ristoranti within a 5k drive for something to eat in the evening.
