Accommodations Annecy Hotel recommendations

We will be in Annecy for a night or two in May. We are taking the train there from Lyon and will not have car so something walkable from the train station in the old town would be ideal. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

We rented a house next to the Hotel des Maquisats, a lovely place with a great lakeview, about a 20-minute walk to the old town by the lakeside road. Sometimes we had a cocktail in the hotel bar. the place looks very nice. I can vouch for the locatio (if you don't mind the walk), btu don't have experience of staying there.
It goes without saying that romt he train station you need to take a taxi there.
