Any Entry/Exit System (EES) Delays in Fiumicino (FCO) Airport?

I land in FCO on Tuesday morning March 24, 2026 (so excited, only 2 more sleeps). I've heard conflicting information about the length of time to get through immigration as a US passport holder due to entry/exit system process. Has anyone entered in FCO within the last week or so and can tell me their experience? I'll have a driver waiting and if there will be long delays I don't want him to arrive too early and have to wait. Grazie mille.

Comments on Facebook and Reddit indicate Fiumicino EES delays are highly exaggerated and quite nominal.
A cousin who works Newark Airport tells me no one reports Fiumicino EES delays.
How did it go for you?
