Asolo here we come!

As part of a longer trip, we will be in Asolo for a couple of weeks next spring (end of April/beginning of May). Any and all advice or recommendations would be appreciated. This will be our first time in Veneto north of the Venice, Padua, Verona line.

Sorry, I have no advice. Have only visited Asolo on a day trip but it was lovely! Enjoy.

If you like architecture the Villa Barbaro in Maser by Andrea Palladio is a 15 minute drive from Asolo. Fabulous frescoes by Veronese inside. It is also a winery. Other Palladian villas are in the neighborhood. The town of Treviso is a 45 minute drive from Asolo and has become one of my favorites in that area. Small enough to walk around in. Bassano del Grappa is another small, walkable town worth a visit, a 1/2 drive. Marostica is another. A google search will give you lots of info on the towns. Vicenza is another town worth a visit. The Teatro Olimpico by Palladio is wonderful. Vicenza is the town of Palladio and the Palladio museum is there. Again for architecture fans. Padua is also doable from Asolo - 1 hour drive with frescoes by Giotto. If you haven't seen them yet, definitely worth a visit. Obviously, this advice showcases my interests and may not reflect your interests. It's a wonderful area. Enjoy!

All things that interest us. Thanks for your thoughts. We also want to try to get in some scenic walking/hiking, so anything along that line would be helpful too.
