Help Needed Barge Tours?

We probably have a week while visiting France this coming spring or early summer and came across some barge tours that look interesting because they're small (6-8 people) and mainly scenic/relaxation focused. Anyone have any experience with any of the companies doing this (ie; "barge lady")? Thanks.

Back in 1992, our first trip to France, we spent a week on the Horizon II, which was then cruising in Burgundy. The company is French Country Waterways, Ltd. -- https://www.fcwl.com/, and it was probably the most pampered week I've ever spent. We rode bikes in the afternoon, and there was always someone waiting to take our bikes as soon as we returned and to have a glass of wine waiting for us. They found out that Paul likes a particular brand of single malt Scotch so bought a bottle for him. Truly a very special week!

Thanks Ann. Much appreciated. Still on the North Shore? Been back to Sablet? We're considering driving back to Vaison la Romaine or Lyon before or after a weeklong barge trip, but will probably stay in Paris again. Such tough decisions! Happy New Year.

Hi Steve. Yes, still on the North Shore, with 30' surf today. We've now been to Sablet 4 times and are returning in May. We always stay here -- http://www.houseinprovence.net/Page_2.html -- and have actually gotten to know some of the people in the village, since we stay 3 weeks each visit. But we spend a lot of time in Vaison la Romaine and also in Gigondas. Probably our favorite part of France, which is saying a lot! Hauoli Makahiki Hou!
