Book lovers bookstores around the world

Treasure palaces indeed! I'm so glad they featured Daunt Books - my top favourite in London. And next time I'm in NYC, I must visit the JP Morgan library/museum - it looks fabulous!

Daunt Books is always on my must visit list in London. I spend hours in their travel books section - just love it! The exciting part, for me, is my apartment rental this June will be at the bottom of Marylebone. I can't wait to get to know this "village" better.

Also from the Afar site, just around the corner from my apartment, the mention of Golden Hind ~ the Best Fish and Chips in London...:D

I would add to this list the abbey library in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The wooden baroque furniture is nice enough, but on exposition are some of the most ancient books still existing in the world. I almost went crying in front of some music books from the 9th century.
