ADVISORY TO TRAVELERS:
Effective December 10, 2025, the location of the bus stops of the many bus lines which service the Catania Airport has CHANGED. It is no longer steps away from the main passenger terminal (Terminal A) to the right (east), but is now located in the former short-term parking lot P2 to the LEFT (west) of the terminal building. This means that you will go to your LEFT as you exit the terminal building. The walking distance will be slightly longer, but still quite convenient. This change was caused by the demolition of the old Terminal B and construction to replace it with a new building. Buses used to stop directly in front of the now demolished Terminal B.

YOU VERY OFTEN CAN AVOID PAYING OVER 100 EUROS FOR A TAXI OR PRIVATE TRANSFER to reach your destination in eastern Sicily: the airport bus services to numerous towns on the Island are frequent, reliable and very inexpensive. A private transfer to Siracusa or Taormina will cost over 100 Euros, to Ragusa over 200 Euros, to Agrigento over 300 Euros, to Palermo around 400 Euros. The airport bus costs 6.20 Euros to Siracusa, 7 Euros to Taormina, 8.60 Euros to Ragusa, 13.10 Euros to Agrigento and 14 Euros to Palermo. (These are just a few examples).
