Castel Gandolfo from Rome

We are planning a day trip to Castel Gandolfo in June. Hoping to be able to take Uber to get there rather than the train so we can avoid the steep up hill climb from the station. If we can't get an Uber for our return we would take the train. I assume the downhill climb would be more doable since we're in relatively good shape. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, tickets are available for a tour on the Official Vatican site, which I have up in English, but there is no confirmation that the tour will be in English. Does anyone know if, in fact, the tour will be in English?
