Delta changed our flights snd we now face an overnight at Charles DeGaulle airport on our way to Milsn. Any recommendations for a hotel at the airport ?

There are so many, many hotels near CDG. We've stayed several times but I can't remember any names. There are some very close to the airport, almost on the runway, with shared buses going back and forth. If you have a very early flight, these may be more convenient. There are also many in Roisy, not that far away. Some may have transportation, some may not. Also consider whether you need a restaurant for meals (dinner and/or breakfast). You can check booking.com or just do your own search. Set a budget, choose rating and just pick one! Or if you are willing/able to cancel the flight because of the major time change, consider the train. We recently took the train from Torino to Paris. The direct train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Milan is 7 hours (similar distance between Torino/Paris). Enjoy Italy!

Many years ago my husband and I had an unexpected overnight stay at CDG. We stayed at the Sheraton - the train into Paris runs out of the same terminal. We had waited in line for a while to try to get a room and just as we were approaching a service representative another person who had not been in line cut in front of us and obnoxiously demanded a room. He apparently had hotel status and the representative relented when we said it was OK and backed away to wait. We then received an upgrade suite for the price of a basic room as the representative apologized to us. We took the train into Paris for dinner with a view of Notre Dame. The upgraded suite was still a bit small but it was so convenient to be able to train in and out of Paris for a meal and have an easy walk to our morning flight back home the next day.

It's different from what you asked, but is it an option to change to a flight itinerary that doesn't make you stay overnight, including changing Milan airports, such as Linate instead of Malpensa? Flying Delta implies coming from the U.S. with a morning arrival, and their partner Air France has several flights to the two Milan airports throughout the day. If they made such a major schedule change, they should be able to change you to whatever itinerary you can locate, including one that doesn't connect through Paris. If this is during the Winter Olympics, maybe there's a shortage of available seats.

Direct answer......stay at Holiday Inn Express, in the Airport precinct. Easy to get to by cab or Airport Shuttle train plus short walk. Not luxurious, but totally adequate for one night stay. We have used it multiple times

I believe we stayed at the Ibis. There is a train you can catch down the hall from the arrivals that goes to the hotels.

Depending on the timing of the flights, may want to stay in Paris, near the RER stations.

As noted above, you may want some dining and if you have time, entertainment options.

I was once delayed and the airline put us up at a hotel near the airport but you still needed to take a bus to the terminal, the hotel didn't offer shuttles.

I believe I took the bus to the RER station and went into Paris and then came back at night. I think the vouchers they gave us included lunch and dinner at the airport hotel.

Of course you're incurring more expenses but if you have travel delay insurance, you could get some reimbursement.

IN 2024 we arrived in Paris after flying from Australia and planned to drive to Giverny for a few days... needed to sleep before braving the roads and we stayed at Aiden by Best Western Paris Roissy CDG
(Address: 4 Allee Du Verger Zone Hoteliere,
95700 Roissy-en-France, France

which we booked through Booking.com. Not one of your fancy expensive hotels but a good price and we loved it. The room was very comfortable, the people friendly and helpful, we slept well and the breakfast was to die for. Plus it's in a rather lovely little town so we were able to walk happily there before heading to the airport to pick up our car rental. Ubers to and from the hotel were cheap and prompt. Highly recommend!
