From Mommy Points: the rather cumbersome GOES site has been replaced by login.gov for managing one's account in Global Entry or NEXUS, the programs giving trusted travelers a fast track through U.S. border controls. Those who are in the programs don't need to worry about it until they need to update information, but (from another post I read that I can't locate now) it gets complicated if you have a pending application, and you may need to call to find your PASSID number, which is part of the login. A benefit that I see is that, unless there was a previous change that I missed, you couldn't see when interview appointments were available until you paid the enrollment fee. Now, https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/ has "Check interview availability" links where you can see before you start the process how easy it may be to find an interview slot at the time you might be passing through a given airport, for example.
