I'm not a cook. But I've watched a couple of shows from The Food Network in which they had seasons based in Europe.
One is Ciao House. Season 1 was in Tuscany, in a small hamlet near Florence and season 2 was in Puglia. It's a cooking competition show, so the contestants live in the homes and have cook-offs and they get eliminated every week until one is crowned winner.
They show snippets of scenery of these beautiful places.
Also, before each season, one of the hosts is on House Hunters International, looking for a villa to host these seasons, so he's looking for plenty of bedrooms and a big professional kitchen.
The other is Next Baking Master Paris, again another competition with elimination. They live in a penthouse with views of the Invalides and they go get demonstrations with the best pastry chefs in Paris and then they're suppose to integrate their ideas into their weekly contests.
Again, for not being a cook, I still found these shows pretty watchable. I don't want to go down the rabbit hole with all the cooking competition shows. I just liked that they had some travel connection because of where they set these shows and it's about Euro cuisine, though it's more high-end, showy dishes than the kind of food you'd get in a good reliable trattoria.
