Help Needed Delta Airlines Name Change -What’s Actually Allowed?

Hi everyone, I’ve been going through the forum rules and wanted to ask a genuine question while staying within guidelines. I’m trying to understand how name corrections work with Delta Air Lines, especially in cases of small spelling mistakes versus full name changes. From what I’ve read, minor corrections may be allowed, but major changes or transferring tickets usually aren’t. Has anyone here recently dealt with a name correction on a Delta ticket? I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences or any useful tips.

I would suggest CALLING Delta to discuss your issue. They can give you the best advice. I needed to make a similar change many years ago (can't remember which airline). The procedure involved providing a photo of my passport - it took a while to get it all worked out, and it was well before my trip.

A year or two ago, I made a Delta Skymiles account to buy a ticket to Paris. I misspelled my middle name but immediately caught it when I received the email. I used the chat feature with Delta customer service and they corrected it for me and sent an updated email.
