Do You Tip Flight Attendants?

After reading an article about Frontier airlines and tipping flight attendants, I'm wondering if this is a new thing. Granted. I don't have more than a passing interaction with flight attendants. I don't need extra pillows or special drinks, or help with the audio, I just smile and chat as they're going down the aisle, or while I'm waiting in line at the back of the plane. On a few occasions we've flown with a friend who's a flight attendant, while she was working, and we've also flown with friends of our friend, so we did talk to them a bit more - but I still never thought about tipping them! Do you?

My wife and I have started bringing a box of chocolates, and giving them to the crew after meal service. This has paid great dividends to us and our fellow passengers in good spirits. We find everyone likes to be appreciated.
