Florence: when was this photo taken?

I 'm prety sure it was taken from Piazza Michelangelo, but was it at dusk or dawn? My guess is that it was early in the morning, which would explain the haze in the background. Any thoughts?

Trying to work this out logically, the sunlight appears to be coming from the left hand side of the photo, which from a check on Google maps suggests this is the west (or at least south-west). Thus I'd say evening.
