We have travelled SLOWLY throughout Europe for 4-5 months for 20 years in Spring and Summer , thus escaping southern Australia’s winter.
For many of those years we swapped our camper van with people from Europe who used ours to travel Australia while we used their vehicle or their house. In this way both parties very much enjoyed their adventures with the bonus of making lifelong friends.
In recent years however we have enjoyed using self-catering accommodation with a leased car.
This is the way we are travelling in 2020.
We wish to spend time in Berlin, the Black Forest, Switzerland and Northern Italy.
Our question is How can we use our holiday to maximise the less busy and cooler temperatures in places which tend to be hot.
