Hello from Barolo Wine country Italy!

Hello everyone! We are Shira and Mirella (Mire for short). We live the marvelous little town of Verduno – known as the “lookout point of the Langhe”.
We started rolling, cutting and cooking pasta for the first time at age 6. That pasta was the beginning of our adventure in the kitchen that’s lasted over 35 years.
Together we are an Italian-English-Serbian-American team, but from many points of view we’re more Piemontese than even our husbands, who are both natives from the Langa. We opened a small restaurant and two vacation apartments in the heart of Barolo wine country last year and would love to meet you if you're ever in the area!

We both love traveling and do so as often as possible! Looking forward to reading your stories!

We stayed four nights in La Morra this past October (beginning of white truffle season). One of the most magical spots we have ever had the privilege to stay at. Our white truffle hunt near Alba was a hoot, and we loved exploring the area. We all look forward to returning. Piemonte is heaven on earth!

Sounds like fun! We totally agree about this area being a little slice of heaven. So peaceful! My father in law has a couple of truffle hunting dogs - so fun to watch them in action! Let us know if you're ever back in the area, would love to meet up!
