My sister and I are going to NYC Feb 20th for 5 days. Hope it will have warmed up by then. We have lots of walks we want to do.

I hope so, too--for both our sakes. Another ice storm tonight and who knows what coming on Sunday.
Don't know where you're planning to walk, but if there's snow still on the ground Central Park is simply spectacularly beautiful--walk around Bethesda Fountain, have something warm to drink at the Boathouse (not the expensive restaurant, the self-serve part) by the lake, and enjoy yourselves.
