I am a wishful traveler with a partner who is not well enough to travel like we used to which is why I am so, so glad we did travel some before illness took the spotlight. We were fortunate to travel some to Italy and the the Bahamas with other trips still on the wish list. We are down to one fur-child at home who is advanced in her years so we may have to hold off on the passport required travel until she has finished with us...a trip somewhere new would be a perfect distraction when that time inevitably and soul searingly arrives. We used the original SlowTrav site when we planned our trip to Rome and it was full of wonderfully helpful advice and travelouges. Used some tricks to book a no-wait tour of The Vatican. Ready to read the new posts for more adventure planning.
