Hi from Colorado!!

I thought I would say hello once again, since I am sort of starting my second life! I retired after working in the school system for 30 years in Hawaii last June (2015). 75 boxes and two weeks later, I moved to Colorado! I am living in a little ski town. I spent most of last summer renovating my condo, enjoyed a few weeks appreciating the amazing fall colors, and then spent the long snowy winter working at the ticket office at the ski mountain and having a great time skiing. It snowed over 300 inches here. It even snowed last night up on the top of the mountain! I have spent the past few weeks reorganizing all of my photos, reading old blog posts, etc. and have the travel bug again! I probably won't travel this summer but I at least want to get back into the travel forums, traveling vicariously through others. It is great to be back!

Now that I have retired, I have been ok using my real name on posts (tried to stay private while teaching in Hawaii) but calling me girasoli is still fine. I go by both

Hi Susan (I'm so used to calling you girasoli), great to see you here. Congrats on your retirement and new chapter in Colorado. I'll be joining the "fun" side soon myself. ! Looking forward to hearing about your future travel plans.
