Hi there ,I live in France and have a carte de séjour validé until 2031... I also have a brand new blue Brit passport that I got sent France (no stamps no visa) in October I'm travelling to the UK for 4 days to visit my daughter.
Do I need any visas or ETAIS or other? to get into the UK and then back into France.
I assume with a Brit passport and a french carte de séjour... No but with these damn silly Brexit rules you never know.... 7 months ago I already had to cancel a trip to Spain because my old UK EU passport had less than 3 months left it....
Thanks for any feedback or precisions
David

I read that there is a new rule that if you have a UK passport you must use it to enter the country. We asked the border person about this on a recent trip and he had never heard of it. Still, best to use your UK passport with UK border people. You don’t need an ETA to enter the UK since you are a citizen.

As for France, I don’t know. If you don’t have an EU passport you may have to use the new entry-exit system. It sure is needlessly complicated because of Brexit!

We use our Irish passports to enter and leave France but UK passports to enter and leave UK.
