La Sante Chapelle. Does skip the Line mean skip the line?

We are 2 women with walking disabilities, who will be visiting Paris 2nd - 6th October. I have visited La Sante Chapel once many years ago, and on more recent trips to Paris, I have walked by and looked at the long lines of visitors. Not for me. If we buy these skip the line tickets, does that mean, that we can go straight in? I don't want to buy the tickets and then realize that there is still a considerable waitingtime.

Even with a pre-purchased ticket, you still have to go through security at Sainte-Chapelle. Your best bet to not have to wait long in the security line is to be there when it opens at 9am.

There's a separate entrance for those with disabilities. You go next door/southeast side, through the gates (I think), but you cross the courtyard and you will be escorted to the Sainte-Chappelle entrance where there is a ramp and elevator. The sign is large and clearly indicated with the universal handicap (wheelchair) logo. You don't have to be in a wheelchair, just have a physical disability....at least, that's my understanding.

Now, the caveat -- I don't know if this has changed since the last time I was there. Given the heightened security issues, you may have to go through the metal detector (that long line).

It's worth trying, but I think it's for weekdays only, not the busy weekends. You may be able to use the tourist office to make a reservation.

Also, somewhere on some French version of info, I thought there is also perhaps a way to get a tourist disabilities card that will help in these situations, and perhaps give you reduced admission prices, or free, in some museums. Wish I could be of more help, but I never bookmarked any of this info.

Thank you so much. I will try to get this identity card. There is a long time to our trip. And I so much want to see it again. We are also going to Centre Pompidou for a David Hockney exhibition an Petit Palais for empressionist pastels. But you are right. Getting to exhibitions early is worth while. I was once all alone ar the empressionists in D'Orsay. And also to see Monets garden. We waited in line when it opened, got our tickets and simply ran through the garden through the tunnel to the pond. There we were all alone for about 20 minutes.
