Unfortunately, ships under 100,000 tons aren't affected, and the ban -- such as it is -- won't go into effect for about 4 years.

We have been to Venice several times and we really enjoy it as it is a magical place. However, the last time we were there it was so overrun by cruise passengers, I found it very unpleasant. Glad that they are doing something, but sounds like they need to do more.
