Information London Afternoon Tea

The Wolseley, in Piccadilly, is excellent: lovely room and, for a 'posh' place, nicely unstuffy service. https://www.thewolseley.com/menus

That coupon in the post above is just for Cream Tea, not the Afternoon Tea shown in the accompanying photo, so I'm not sure that it's such a bargain. Google 'cream tea', 'afternoon tea', and 'high tea' if you're unsure of these often-confused terms! And note that 'high tea' isn't the term used here in the uk to describe what's served in restaurants or tea rooms.

Thank you I didn't realize we were once again a people divided by a common language.

If you are up for a quick train trip the tea room at Brighton associated with the glass palace is lovely (if expensive) and of course the world famous tea room at Bath which is gorgeous AND delicious. Having just spent $60 in Thailand for high tea at the Dhara Dhevi I really have done an attitude adjustment on what constitutes expensive when discussing "tea".
