Food & Drink Lyon food and wine tours

We had planned to spend 3 nights in Lyon after our week in Goult and before our month in Venice, but it would mean Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights there.
Some of the restaurants I have looked at are closed Sunday and Monday.
We would like to do a wine tour and a food tour and haven’t approached any company yet.
Any recommendations for a company, or even if we will be disappointed in what will be open?
We haven’t been to Lyon but may change our plans.
After Lyon we were planning 5 nights across Switzerland by train on the way to Venice.

We've only been to Lyon once, for a little over a day, several years ago. But in that short time we had a great experience with Lyon City Greeters. If you don't know about that program, it has volunteers who take you around the city, based on what your interests are, and it's all free. I don't know about wine or food tours, but I would highly recommend the Greeters program for an intro to the city.

I also just got an advance copy of a new book set in Lyon from a coming culinary mystery series. It's not released yet, but you might want to get on the mailing list. Minced, Marinated, and Murdered. It's a light fun read, with a lot of interesting trivia about Lyon's culinary heritage.

Thanks Roz. I hadn’t thought of Lyon Greeters.
We could do a half day tour with them and they should have some "inside" info to help us the next few days.
I don’t think we will change our plans and I’ll do a bit more research.

The book sounds interesting. I’ll keep my eye out for it.
