Campania & Amalfi Coast Meta di Sorrento 1bedroom apartment

We stayed in this Airbnb apartment for one week in May 2017 without a car. We really enjoyed it. The apartment is in an historic building which is architecturally interesting. The ceilings are 14 feet high. The apartment is bright with many windows and a large terrace. The views are wonderful. The garden is available for renters. There are several antique furniture pieces. The sofa and bed are excellent and very comfortable. We did not cook but the apartment is well stocked with utensils, some basic food items, and very nice dinnerware. There is no dishwasher nor oven. Originally we planned to stay in Sorrento, but I did not see any apartments that I really liked there. We were very happy with the choice of Meta. The bus into Sorrento is a few steps outside the door. The Circumvesuviana train station is within walking distance and is a quick ride into Sorrento, or in the other direction to Pompeii and Naples. Meta itself is a nice old town with good restaurants and a sand beach. The apartment is very quiet. Meta itself is quiet in contrast to Sorrento. Sorrento has beautiful architecture and views and is a clean city, but the pedestrianized area is very small and the traffic is very loud. I did not particularly like Sorrento for this reason. The host was responsive and helpful. The caretaker of the apartment lives in the apartment next door. Apartment impeccably clean. This apartment is spacious and truly beautiful.
