I just found this interesting article (posted on April 24th) in the New York Times - A New Museum Explores 2.0000 Years of Jewish Life in Italy: The new Museum of Italian Judaism and the Shoah in Ferrara explores the long and complex relationship between Christianity and Judaism. I don't have a subscription to the NY Times but discovered today that they are providing free unlimited access from May 3-5 to celebrate World Press Freedom Day. I'm not sure if that is just in the US or worldwide?
Here's a direct link to the Museum of Italian Judaism and the Shoah. The Italian name for the museum is: Museo Nazionale dell’Ebraismo Italiano e della Shoah. When looking at the museum website, it seems that it has been there for a while, so I am not sure if the museum is new or there are new exhibits. Either way, it is new news to me! Thought I'd share in case anyone else is interested. Now I need to put Ferrara back on my list of places I want to revisit!
