Newark to Rome for May 2019

After fruitless searching for a few weeks, suddenly a low fare for the United non-stop from Newark to Rome for next Spring popped up.....$467 per person round trip, departing May 5 and returning June 5. I jumped on it and have 24 hours to cancel without penalty. This is the same flight we have taken for the past two years.

It pays to check those fares regularly. As I told Jim the other day, last week I suddenly got a $439 roundtrip Newark/Rome/Newark, two weeks midMarch to endMarch. The fare had been hovering around $600, then went down some, then popped up to over $800. So when it suddenly went way down, I bought the tickets. And yesterday the fare was over $900. It's really bizarre. But I'm not complaining.
