Just finished watching the old (1996) British series "Our Friends in the North"....a terrific show interspersing the lives of four friends from Newcastle against the backdrop of British politics from 1964 to 1995. The acting and writing are both top-notch and the cast is filled with the younger versions of today's top actors...including Daniel Craig, Christopher Eccleston, Gina McKee, and Mark Strong. A remarkable series....
