Oyster Card VS London Travel Card

Thank you, Jonathan.
I looked at my 3 major credit cards and only one has the wifi symbol, which I never would have noticed otherwise.
I'm travelling on my own so my husband suggested I stick with the Oyster card because it wouldn't be a disaster if I lost it or it was stolen.

Another question re:tube, bus etc. There is a great site for Paris where one can enter starting point and end point and routes and times are given for walking, metro and bus for comparison. Is there a similar website for London?

I will see it this will work for me as I hope to walk to most destinations and only use the tube to return if I'm tired.
I can walk anywhere in Rome without a map, and I found Paris very easy to plan a walking route, even just in my mind, after just one visit.
But London? For some reason it scrambles my brain.
