Petit Casino at CDG

I read somewhere that there is a Petit Casino at CDG, in Terminal 2. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, where? Thanks, Ann

Merci infiniment, Roz. The only problem is that this M&S is at 2E and we land at 2A, so I'll have to find out how long it takes to get to 2E. That would certainly solve our problem, though. I really appreciate your help.

Ann, there is a shuttle that goes around all the various terminals. Here is a map.

The landside parts of the terminal 2 complex are a single building that can be walked, if you're fit enough and the luggage isn't too much of a burden. The EasyCDG site recommends walking and has this page showing a 15-minute time.

I had tried to post before, but not sure what I did wrong! Lots of autoroute stops have Carrefour markets or something similar... you could get some basic groceries there, I think. There's a website where you can see what services are at each main autoroute stop. Google and you'd find it.

I can't find this Kathy. I found this page about the autoroute service areas: http://www.autoroutes.fr/en/service-areas.htm

I found listings of service area offerings at Wikia, such as this for the A20, based on Ann's other topic. They generally show food for eating there; it isn't too clear to me whether groceries are included in "boutique" or "produits régionaux".

Thanks to all of you for your help. Like Pauline, I found the web site she mentions but not the one Kathy referred to. Our car rental is located between 2A and 2C so we might stop at 2E on our way out of CDG or trust our luck on the autoroute, or just ask Anne to have some coffee waiting for us, since I'm sure we can buy a few things on the autoroute. Merci a tous!

Hi all,

I assume you will be driving from CDG? If so, try the Auchan at Aeroville. Aeroville is a large shopping center just next to CDG and Auchan is a national chain of supermarkets. There's plenty of parking. Just google Aeroville Auchan and you can find the site with all the directions.

(Sorry, I really need to get a photo done so I can post it. I'm new to the site and don't have anything suitable yet.)

Aeroville is quite easy to get to from CDG. A few years ago we had 7 hours between connecting flights at CDG. Rather than venturing out of the airport for a short (and tight) jaunt for a visit in nearby towns, we went to Aeroville, which is actually a huge mall, to kill time and stay close to the airport. We had lunch there and shopped at Auchan for cheese to bring back. There is also a nice-sized boulangerie Paul. It was much more interesting than staying at CDG for a long layover.

There's also a free shuttle from Roissypole next to CDG that takes you to Aeroville. We always go over to Aeroville on the night before our flight home.
