The Cruz de Ferro is located just past the small village of Foncebodan. It consists of a tall wooden pole with an iron cross located at the top. It is a well known tradition that pilgrims bring a stone from home and place it here at the foot of the Iron cross leaving behind their burdens. It was a cool and very moving Camino tradition.
