We met Giorgio Bruno in 2007 on our first trip to Murano and we have returned several times since. "Artisan" is so overused these days, but it perfectly describes this gentleman who was born on Murano and learned to work with glass from his father. His creativity and skill in glassblowing and lamp work can be seen throughout his small shop on Murano.

There is nothing like a refreshing swim with close friends on the Rhine River. Outside temperature was 37F (3C) when this shot was snapped. Of course, travelling on a boat the freshness of the wind adds to the outdoor experience! Not all of our friends were willing to take a dip.
