Help Needed Pompeii/Herculaneum Guide

Any recommendations from personal experience for a guide for Pompeii and Herculaneum would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.

I'd trust the guides recommended in the Rick Steves books.

Pompeii only

We just walked through different areas.
Seemed to have had a good understanding and saw most of the stuff. Plus listened to some of the tour guides as they explained to a group

Had a map

Not sure if they have recorded self guide tours

How were you planning to get to pompeii??!!

We have found good ones from Trip Advisor and Rick Steves. It's nice to get a guided tour as well
