Stranded [Italian TV series]

Has anyone seen the RAI Italian series entitled "Stranded" (in Italy it was called "Black Out - Vite sospese")? We enjoyed it and while it was very dramatic, there were also some super views of the snow-laden Dolomites. It was available on UK Channel 4 - apparently there is a second series but it is not yet available there.
I would recommend it - series one consists of eight one-hour episodes and it is subtitled into English.

Yes, I’m in the US and watch it on the MHz Choice streaming service. I agree, the scenery is beautiful and the story is very compelling. I haven’t finished all the episodes yet.
MHz Choice shows movies and TV shows from many different countries that are subtitled in English. I highly recommend it.

Can someone be more specific on the name of the series. I cannot find it when I do a search on MHZ Choice under Black Out. I am not a subscriber yet but am thinking of a trial subscription especially since we will be going to the Dolomites.

Thanks,
Marie

One of the sponsors is the Trentino Film Commision, presumably to highlight the region. In the UK we're awaiting the second series but looks like it is already available on your MZHchoice platform.
Filming of the series took place in the eastern Dolomites, Pale di San Martino, approximately between Trento and Cortina. The whole Trentino region is super, with loads of interest and variety within a single area, so you've chosen well for your destination!
Another Italian mountain drama/crime series is "Rocco Schiavone" which does not appear to be available on the mhzchoice platform (in the UK it's also available on C4's free platform). Like Stranded, it's also set in mountainous Italy, but in Aosta in Italy's north-west. The main character is a policeman with a very flexible interpretation of police rules and the rule of law!

Thanks. BTW do you all think heading up to the Dolomites from Sicily around the last week in May, first week of June is a good time to visit weather wise?
Thanks

Absolutely. Even though it's the end of May/start of June, the mountain tops and high passes might have snow still!

Was that after series 1 or series 2? I agree that it was a slow burner but liked that pace.
