Along with the criticism against the negative effects of companies like AirBnB, there have been regulation efforts by cities that are trying to put restrictions on short-term rentals. These have to be enforced, but as anyone who has used platforms like these knows, the addresses are not disclosed until you make a booking. Enter contractors that are paying people to get proof that a property is listed on short-term rental platforms.

""These tasks encourage the use of anything online to find these people, using reverse image search, local property records for the region, news articles, Facebook, anything you can find that proves without a doubt the house at that address matches the rather anonymous AirBnb posting," the contractor familiar with the tasks said."
