Has anyone watched the Jimmy McGovern series from 2006--"The Street"? Three seasons, 18 episodes--an anthology tied together by characters who live on a street in Manchester. Having been a fan of Cracker and having recently watched Broken, when I found it on Britbox (BBC and ITV streaming app here in the US), we started watching. We finished it last night.....wow, really terrific television--great writing and fantastic acting (Timothy Spall, Bob Hoskins, Anna Friel are among the cast). Has some soap-operaish tendencies but well worth a look, we think....
