Food & Drink Tuscan chestnut dishes in May?

Does anyone know whether the regional chestnut specialties (soups, breads, desserts, etc.) are available out-of-season in the Lucca/Garfagnana region? I'm all in favor of eating seasonally as the Italians do but I might be traveling there in May and wondered if I could still sample some of these unique dishes at local restaurants.

In case anyone is interested, I found an answer to my own question. I've been told that chestnut flour lasts almost a year so any dish made with the flour can be found pretty much year-round.
