Two weeks in Avignon and Marseille

Hi, friends. I am in the middle of a two-week visit and confess to being a baby when it comes to this part of Provence. A freshly shaken Etch A Sketch. Goo-goo, ga-ga. If you have any Marseille restaurant recommendations I am game, though I probably cannot afford the good bouillabaisse.

I can't offer any advice but am interested in any observations - we're planning a longish trip in January - February from Nice heading along the coast, basing Nice, Arles, Carcassone and Port-Vendres.

Sounds like an amazing trip. You may be mildly interested in my Nice travelog from a year ago. I was committed to going car-free for two weeks but was able to spend some quality time in Vence, St. Paul de Vence, Grasse and Gourdon.
