Small world moment: in another post on her blog, the author lets on that she's (in 2012) not living in Provence at that time, but in Nailsworth (one time home of Pauline & Steve...).

The blog author was just visiting a friend in Uzès, though - she actually lives is Tarascon, a rather more gritty place. More like Stroud, yes?
