Vall de Boi

We have a few days at the end of May, following 5 days in Barcelona, and would like to find a base from which to hire a guide to take us to the Vall de Boi, a World Heritage Site because of the 9 Romanesque churches strung out along a narrow valley, in far north Catalonia. We will not have a car in Spain, so wherever we stay must have train or bus connections.

I had also looked at visiting that area, it is quite remote!
BTW, a lot of the more fragile frescoes from the churches in the Val de Boi are in the MNAC museum in Barcelona.

Yes, Amy, I saw those on our last trip and that is what made me want to visit the actual sites...which I understand have been fitted with reproductions of those frescoes
