Help Needed Where to eat in Madrid

We have three days in Madrid. Where can we get good Spanish food for lunch and evening, without it costing a fortune? Thanks

I liked Lakasa, Casa Revuelta, Vintoteca Moratin, Vinoteca Barbachera, and Piccolo Diavolo (Italian, not Spanish), to name a few. We took a food tour the first night, which was fun and introduced us to a number of tapas bars. Vinoteca Barbachera is great for eating something when it isn't really at a meal time.

There are several reasonably priced tapas places on Calle de Jesús and nearby. We tried and liked these places:

El Alambique Taberna, Calle Fucar 7
Cafe El Diario , Calle de las Huertas 69
Taberna de la Daniela, Plaza de Jesús 7
Taberna Maceira, Calle de las Huertas 66

For a wacky lunch experience, we enjoyed bellying up to the bar at Museo del Jamon (several locations). It is not a museum, despite the name. Can’t beat the price = €2 for a jamon bocadillo and a beer standing at the bar, with a small tapa of potato chips or sliced sausage thrown in. It was wildly popular at lunch time, as you can imagine. Fun if you don't mind crowds!
