Winery tour near Florence

We did a wine and cook tour with Accidental Tourist (https://www.accidentaltourist.com) in September. They limited the group to nine people, three of whom were only there for the first part (the wine tour). We met at a small cafe across the Arno, near the Piazza Nicola Demidoff to which we walked from our lodging. They had two comfortable vans for transport to a beautiful old winery in the hills above Florence. The small production winery sells most of their wine in bulk to locals but does bottle some. We had a tour and full tasting of reds and whites including a sample of their vin santo. We had a lovely time.

We took the semi-private Chianti tour with Tuscan Trails in 2016, and we are still talking about it. They also offer private tours that get good reviews on TripAdvisor.

We had a great all day Tuscany wine tasting, winery tour, and terrific lunch through Tuscany in a Bottle originating in Florence. We visited two wineries and also went to a famous butcher shop. The wine, food, views were all excellent. The lunch was several courses, including wine, and you will not leave hungry. It was a group tour of about 6-8 people in a small van. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had been an enology major at UC Davis before relocating to Florence several years ago. Tuscany in a Bottle is a "Certificate of Excellence" recipient from Tripadvisor, and deservedly so. Here are a few photos:
