In the past year we have watched several Netflix series filmed in Belgium. Currently we are watching Public Enemy filmed in the Ardennes (the village used is Leforet). It has made us think about doing a trip there next June.
The Ardennes is a rural and wooded area in northern France (north of Reims), south-eastern Belgium and Luxembourg. The main rivers are the Meuse and the Semois. There are lots of places to rent on Airbnb in these areas. We would spend a week and would do some easy walks and explore villages.
Anyone know about this area? Is this a stupid idea and should we instead go to southern Normandy where we have not been yet?
