London 9 Days in London

10+ Posts
We recently spend 12 days in Belgium followed by 9 days in London. I'm including the link to our blog. We had been to London several times before so we didn't visit the traditional tourist sites. We love London and we're already planning a return visit. Using the sidebar on the right, you should be able to navigate to the London portion of the trip if you're not interested in reading about Belgium.

Belgium & London

I’ve been traveling for 65 years, to maybe 40 countries and God know how many cities. For years, I’ve noticed a certain attitude of looking down one’s nose at “traditional tourists sites.” I have found that many are tourists sites because they are incredible. True, they can be too crowded and some can be overrated. But the beauty and history found in St. Mark’s, Windsor Castle, or the Summer Palace garden in Leningrad are worthy of they hype amd not to be missed.

I hope you didn't think that I was saying anything negative about tourist sites. It's just that we've been to London several times already and we've seen many of them already. We simply wanted to do things that were different.

In that case, I am sorry. It’s just that I hear similar things a lot. I’ve been to London about 20 times, the first time in 1960, and spent a month there once and weeks there many times. And my to do list is still long. Have you done any of the back stage tours at the big theaters. They are incredible. We’ve done the ones. At Covent Garden Royal Opera House, the a Royal Albert, the. At io al Theater, and other. Tickets can be hard to get, so plan in advance
