Apartments in Parma?

I'm still working on our 2+ month trip for next spring. I think some of the owners think I'm nuts to be booking so far in advance but...
Anyway, there doesn't seem to be a ton of choice in Parma. I have found one or two that will work but I'm wondering if any Slow folks have experience.

In 2016 I stayed in a lovely apartment in Parma which was well located for walking to alll places that interested me and a very helpful host. Here is my review.

How long a walk was it to the Duomo?
According to the link it looks like it is not available for 6 months--including our late April dates. I can write to the owner and ask but not sure, yet, about the location.

It is less than 10 minutes and an easy walk. Yes contacting the owner would be a good idea. Good luck.

I don't have a recommendation for Parma, but I stayed in an apartment in Bologna in March and loved it! I think it's the cleanest place I've ever stayed in, well laid out for the size, washer/dryer, perfect location.

For us, we decided to go to Reggio Emilia instead. And have reserved this apartment:

Our decision was based on the fact that we had been to Parma before, and not to Reggio, and plan to make a day trip there. I never did find an apartment that seemed "perfect" for us in Parma in our limited budget.

We stayed in the smaller Rubino apartment.
It's just a couple of blocks from the Basilica di San Francesco. It was walking distance to the sites we wanted to see & an easy taxi ride to the train station.

If you are interested, I'd contact the owner now, they book up very quickly.
